Barbecue sauce is generally a recipe mixture of tomatoes, sugar and vinegar. The tomatoes can be used in various forms such as tomato sauce, paste, puree and ketchup. Sugar is used to add sweetness to the bbq sauce and can be in the forms of corn syrup, honey or molasses.
Adding vinegar, on the other hand, adds a sourer flavor to the sauce and can be in the forms of beer, white or flavored wine or vinegar, and citrus juices.
Basically, bbq sauces are used in the process of preparation and cooking.
Bechamel sauce or sauces such as the Alabama white sauce has a very long and illustrious history. It has been a primary niche for French Food connoisseurs, dating back to as early as 1651. One of the primary sauces of the French cuisine is the white sauce that is made in this present day by mixing boiled milk gently into a white flour- butter mixture.
